Visit to HQ Protochips by Hokkaido University

We ❤️ when our researchers come and visit us! This was an extra special one as Professor Yuki Kimura came all the way from Hokkiado University in Japan to visit our headquarters in Morrisville, North Carolina, USA last month.

It was a wonderful visit where we ran some #TritonAX cooling experiments at the Analytical Instrumentation Facility (AIF) at NC State with Katherine Marusak Stephens, Ph.D. and Franklin Stampley Walden. Then Jake Barnes, our Semiconductor Process Engineer, took him on a tour of the clean room facility at North Carolina State University where we manufacture our E-chips. After, we took Prof. Kimura to experience some of North Carolina’s unique craft beers and famous pulled pork BBQ.

During a tour of the office, Nelson Marthe, our Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering, and Josha Nelson, our Senior Manager of Operations, were able to show Prof. Kimura our factory floor and the many tools and techniques we use to build and qualify our systems and consumables.

Prof. Kimura was the first #Poseidon customer in Japan, which was about a decade ago now, so a visit to our headquarters was long overdue. Thank you for traveling around the world to visit us Kimura-san, we look forward to seeing you at Hokkaido University soon!
