Installation Alert: AXON, Poseidon and Fusion at Universidade Federal de São Carlos

Ben had a successful visit to the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar / Universidade Federal de São Carlos), LCE DEMa – Laboratório de Caracterização Estrutural, to install and provide training for AXON, Poseidon Electrochemistry, and Fusion EHR – with double tilt functionality – systems! 🔬🇧🇷

“The group was very welcoming and eager to learn. They helped expose me to some of their local culture and cuisine (the picanha and feijoada were some of my favorites) by having different groups of researchers and students escort me to lunch each day I was on site. They are using these systems on one of their TFS Talos 200kV TEMs, one of many impressive pieces of equipment, in their materials characterization facility. They will be utilizing Fusion and Poseidon systems to study the phase changes and corrosion of different metallic FIB samples, which I am sure is just the beginning! Thanks again to the team at UFSCar, along with the local service engineer, Ignacio, for their kindness and hospitality as I traveled far from home for my first trip to Brazil!”
