Flash Talk #32 with Dr. Francisco Lagunas Vargas

Exciting New Flash Talk!!

In this episode Francisco Lagunas Vargas, PhD, of Washington University in St. Louis & University of Illinois Chicago, discusses in-situ formation of ripplocations in hybrid MXenes!

Ripplocations drive deformation in layered systems (from stacked playing cards to Earth’s lithosphere), and controlling them at the nanoscale in 2D MXenes could unlock powerful ways to tune electronic, optical, and catalytic properties—paving the way for next-gen flexible and functional materials.
