Tuesday publication update! ๐ In this newest publication from the group at KRISS, authors Kunmo Koo, Jong Hyeok Seo, Joohyun Lee, Sooheyong Lee and Ji-Hwan Kwon show a new approach to study nanoparticles under the electron beam of a TEM, using the Poseidon AX system. They explored charge-induced effects in a radically-inert liquid environment, revealing key insights into nanoparticle evolution.
What were the key findings?
๐ง They observed real-time nanoparticle morphology shifts and captured transitions between amorphous and crystalline states
๐ They were able to minimized radiolysis effects to isolate charge-assisted processes
This study highlights Liquid-EM as a powerful tool for investigating nanoparticle behavior in liquid environments, paving the way for controlled nanoscale material design and advancing applications in catalysis, medicine, and energy storage.
