A simple and intuitive model for long-range 3D potential distributions of in-operando TEM-samples: Comparison with electron holographic tomography

Fusion AX Publication Alert in Ultramicroscopy for Electronic Devices

Tuesday publication post! In this work a straightforward and intuitive model for approximating long-range potential distributions around a nanostructured coplanar capacitor is shown. The authors from the #TUBerlin were using the #FusionAX system to obtain the ⚡ biasing information together with electron holography. Using independent Gaussian kernel convolutions, this method reconstructs the entire potential distribution from just one measured projection.

This work shows that quantitative electron holography of electrically biased nanostructures can be more practical and scalable for researchers!

By combining the intuitive simplicity of Fusion AX with electron holography, the authors were able to explore electric fields in nanoscale devices with unprecedented efficiency and precision.
