12th Asia Pacific Microscopy Conference
The APMC – an International event is organized every four years under the auspices of CAPSM–Committee of Asia-Pacific Society for Microscopy (comprising of 17 countries). This time the APMC will be held in conjunction with the annual conference and the XL (40th) meeting (AGM) of the EMSI, which is one of the oldest scientific societies of the country. RBSM Meeting 2019
A one-day microscopy conference by the Royal Belgian Society of Microscopy (RBSM) will be held on September 9, 2019 in UCLouvain. The topic of this conference is focused on quantitative microscopy for the life science and material science fields. Indeed, driven by technical advances and a surge in image informatics, microscopy has now left the anecdotical, descriptive era and has matured into a quantitative discipline. This is true for both the life science and the material science fields, and the variety of microscopy technologies that are utilised therein. This conference aims to highlight the most recent advances in the field with particular emphasis on intelligent, adaptive microscopy, multimodal imaging and deep learning. FEMMS 2019
FEMMS is a biennial meeting focused on the application of electron microscopy, primarily TEM, in materials science. The conference series primarily arose to satisfy the requirements of the electron microscopy community working on materials science problems, which grew explosively in the late 1980’s and has expanded to researchers working with analytical periphery, novel instrumentation, tomography, operando and correlative microscopy, and advancing into the domain of ultrafast time-resolved microscopy. Traditionally, FEMMS brings together approx. 40 invited speakers plus one distinguished lecturer that are world-renowned experts, principal investigators and project leaders, to present their latest advances in the field of electron microscopy in the materials sciences.

The 2019 MSC-SMC Annual Meeting will be held between May 22nd and 24th in scenic Vancouver, British Columbia. The goals of the MSC-SMC Annual Meeting are to bring together junior and senior researchers working in the field of imaging in Canada and abroad, to develop a strong network between imaging researchers in Canada, and to learn about exciting new research. The main conference venue for the 2019 meeting will be the Life Sciences Centre (LSC) at the University of British Columbia (UBC). Participants shall learn about the potentials of liquid cell TEM imaging with a special focus on Poseidon EC experiments, as well as possibilities to perform nm scale orientation and phase mapping in various materials (metals, alloys, nanoparticles, battery related samples, minerals). During the workshop we will demonstrate an electrochemistry in-situ LCTEM experiment and also in-situ orientation/phase maps in liquid cells. Participants will learn to extract useful texture information from orientation/phase maps and better understand liquid cell concept and applications.
