Optimize In Situ Workflows with New Ex Situ Glass E-chips

TEM time is valuable. Why spend it on trial and error?

As an extension of our electrochemical E-chip series, we are introducing a new ex situ option: the Glass E-chip! Designed for electrochemical and battery research, these chips enable experiment optimization before committing valuable TEM time.

With identical dimensions to our standard E-chips, the Glass E-chips are made entirely of glass rather than silicon/silicon nitride. This means that they can be used in our ex situ electrochemical cell and observed directly under a light microscope. This allows clear visualization of gas evolution and reactions at all electrodes, allowing for optimization of new experiments.

Use Glass E-chips to streamline early-stage testing and parameter refinement:

  • Fine-tune electrolyte composition, flow rate, and applied potential
  • Visualize electrochemical reactions before operando measurements
  • Observe gas formation across all electrodes

While not intended for TEM imaging, Glass E-chips are an essential tool for pre-optimization and workflow efficiency, helping you achieve more focused, productive in situ studies.
