Requirements:
Expertise: Technical Education: MS or PhD Job Type: Full-time Location: Flexible Job Level: At least 3 years electron microscopy experience
Description: Using technical expertise with customer facing skills to join the Protochips' Applications Specialist team. In this role you will travel up to 50% to perform customer demonstrations of Protochips' electron microscopy equipment, give technical presentations, and compose applications notes and sales support material in the field of in situ electron microscopy. Components of the job include:
* Work directly with customers to identify key applications and trends for company products in cutting edge nanotechnology fields * Achieve product acceptance and performance at an operational level for a customer specific applications * Coordinate with Sales, Marketing and R&D to assure the success of product demonstrations * Provide R&D and Product groups with information and customer feedback * Train customers in the proper use of company products * Deliver scientific and other publications (papers, conference) * Become a subject expert and resource for training
Requirements: * MS in a relevant science or engineering degree * 3 years of direct experience in electron microscopy * Proficiency in operating a Transmission Electron Microscope from one of the major manufacturers * Strong technical publication record * Excellent communication skills and high comfort level with customer interactions * Ability to work under limited supervision * Available for up to 50% business travel * Possess valid passport and have ability to travel internationally
Preferences: * PhD in a relevant science or engineering discipline * 2+ years of direct experience with in situ electron microscopy * Written and verbal fluency in Japanese, Chinese or Dutch
